Foeniculum vulgare purpureum. A crimson-bronze variety that is slow to bolt. A non-bulbing variety for herbal uses. Leaves have a sweet licorice flavor that is perfect for adding to salads, coleslaw, or salad dressing. Seeds can be used to freshen breath.
